Up until today I thought that France only boasted charming villages and cities with cobbled streets and picture perfect views at every turn – St. Nazaire has proved me wrong. It’s big, boring, industrial, and of no interest to me at all. I can see it would hold some interest for blokes, and JR certainly saw its charm. It is home to a huge ship building industry, 2 cruise ships were under completion in the docks the day we visited. The drive over the St. Nazaire bridge to Saint Brevin sports a great view of the Loire flowing out to sea.
I’ll leave it at that.
